We are excited to introduce several updates to simplify your media selection and onboarding process. These changes are designed to make your experience more efficient, intuitive, and informative. Here’s a quick overview of what’s new:
Simplified Media Information Access: We’ve consolidated all media details, previously listed on the Evaluated Media List, into a single, easy-to-access point during the download process. With our new format, all the information you need about your media options is available in one place, making your selection process faster and easier.
New 5-Star Grading System: We’ve upgraded our media evaluation system to a 5-star rating scale, offering more precise insights in the areas of print quality, runnability, and finishing. The new grading scale provides enhanced feedback on how each media performed during evaluation, helping you make more informed decisions for your print applications.
Specialty Media Onboarding Update: Certain media types require additional onboarding support to achieve the best results. In efforts to help ensure your success with specialty media, we’ve removed downloadable profiles from thINKforum.com and now direct customers to engage your local analyst for specialty media onboarding. We now have specialty media definitions for each product available on thINKforum.com to help you identify what media types will require additional assistance prior to use. This change in process helps to enable your production team’s success when working with specialty applications.
Streamlined Onboarding with iX-3200 DME: As you onboard standard media with the new Default Media Entry (DME) process, the ability to download profiles from the varioPRINT iX-3200 page has been removed. Media onboarded via the DME method is optimized to factory-recommended settings. We will continue to post and update the evaluated media information to serve as a reference point for you when deciding which media can be used for your applications.
What’s Next
These updates are designed to help you make more informed choices about the media you use, to help ensure smoother print operations. We’ll keep sharing evaluated media information as new media offerings become available. Our ongoing goal is to help you work smarter and achieve the best results – we hope these updates enhance your media selection experience on thINKforum.com
